Happy Birthday!

Ruthie, almost 5 months old.

Tanner, almost one year old.

As most of you know, Jon and I don't have any kids yet. We are still trying, and hoping it will happen soon. In the time we have been married we have made so many wonderful friends and gotten to know their cute kids. I have been touched by two sweet babies, who are turning one this week. Ruth Bowden was born March 23rd. She was our neighbor in Bozeman, MT and I just fell in love with her from the moment I saw her. It was so fun to have her so close. Lorae was great to let me hold Ruth any time I got baby hungry or just needed to hold a baby. It was such a blessing and a trial at the same time. Seeing Ruth made not having a baby of my own difficult at times, but that didn't stop me from loving her. It was very hard for me to say good-bye to Ruthie when we moved to Mankato. I missed her so much. The Lord must have been looking out for me, because we became friends with the Jeffreys who have a baby boy who is three days younger than Ruth. Tanner will be one on March 26th. He is such a sweet boy! I have fallen in love with Tanner and love him just as much as I loved Ruthie. Tanner is my buddy in Relief Society. I get to keep him with me while his mom is in Primary and his dad is in young mens. I love the time I get to spend with Tanner. I just wanted to thank Lorae and Carrie for allowing me to love their baby. They are both so sweet! Since their birthdays are this week, I just wanted to wish them a Happy Birthday. I can't believe they're already one!

Happy Easter!

Tanner, Kaylee, Dallin and Emma

We had a great Easter weekend. We spent most of the weekend celebrating with our friends the Jeffreys. Friday afternoon they invited us to their house to color Easter eggs. Saturday afternoon we went over for an Easter egg hunt. Jon and Aaron had to hide the eggs in the house, because it had snowed and it was a little too cold to go outside. Sunday we went over for Easter dinner, and we had a very yummy dinner!

I love Easter! It gives me the chance to remember all that our Savior has done for me. I am so grateful for the atonement and for the gift of the resurrection. Christ lives, and we too will live again. What a wonderful gift and blessing from a loving Savior.
