Nick's 26th birthday

Make a wish!

Nick with his new hiking back pack.

Nick had to work on his birthday, so we celebrated the day before. We went to dinner at a very yummy Asian restaurant called Trang. When we got home, we had cake and ice cream and then we gave Nick his presents. Thanks to Scott, I didn't have to do any shopping. He bought the hiking back pack and then we paid him and gave it to Nick. Nick and Scott are so much alike, and Scott always knows what Nick likes, which makes shopping so much easier. Thanks Scott! Happy Birthday Nick!

Cute kids

Thomas is so sweet.
I had so much fun holding him and snuggling him.
He is such a good baby.
Andrew looks just like a mini Bryant.

Lauren, all dolled up at the wedding.

Leah, had beautiful blonde curls for the wedding.
Mom and I curled Taylee and Leah's hair for the wedding.
Notice how different they look.
Taylee, looked like Shirley Temple with her cute curls.

With Adriana's wedding, I got to see my cousin's cute kids. Bryant and Amme have three kids, Lauren, Andrew and Thomas. Jonathan and Jana have two girls who look nothing alike. I don't think there have ever been two sisters who look nothing like sisters, but they are cute, Taylee and Leah. The girls have had so much fun playing with their cousin. I always loved playing with my cousins, when I was growing up. I want to live a little closer to our families, so that our kids will have so much fun playing with their cousins too.

What a beautiful bride!

Cousins!
Nicole, Adriana, Dawn and Tara

I flew out to Utah a few days earlier than Jon, so that I could attend my cousin Adriana's wedding. Adriana is like a little sister to me, she and my sister Nicole were always together growing up and Adriana spent a lot of time at our house. The three of us had a lot of fun hanging out and being silly together. I was so glad that I was able come and be with Adriana on her wedding day.

Father's Day

The card we gave Dad had a sign that read "I am the boss".
The card said that he had to give it back to mom the next day.
Oh how true that really is.
Nicole, Dad, and Tara

I was lucky enough to get the chance to celebrate Father's Day with my dad. I just want to let my dad know how much I love him. He is the best dad in the world. He has always been there for me when I've needed someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. It's been hard to live so far from our families. I miss my dad so much and I'm so glad that I got the chance to be with him this year. Unfortunately, Nick had to work Sunday afternoon and evening, so Dad only had two of his three kids with him. We missed you Nick! I wish Jon could have been with us too. I can't wait, until we get to celebrate Father's Day for Jon too. He will be such an amazing dad. We know that having kids will change our lives forever, but we are anxiously waiting for that wonderful day.

Look who's 30!

I turned 30 on June 18th. I was in Utah for my birthday, so I didn't get to celebrate with Jon. I spent the morning sleeping in and going for a walk. My brother Nick was the first to wish me a Happy Birthday. Nick had to work that night, so he gave me a birthday card and a gi ft card. My mom came home from work early and took me out to lunch at Cafe Rio. It was so yummy! My dad and I spent the afternoon relaxing and visiting, until it was time to pick Nicole, my sister, up from work, so she could go to dinner with us. My parents took me to dinner at Robintinos. After dinner we got pie from Marie Callendars and then we had an enjoyable relaxing evening at home. I got a couple of shirts and a Deseret Book gift card. It was a very good day, and a relaxing day. The only thing that could have made it better, is if Jon could have been with me. It would have been fun to have Nick and Scott with us too!

Birthday Celebration

Jon planned a fun birthday celebration for me yesterday. I am heading to Utah tomorrow and so I won't be with Jon on my actual birthday, which is this Thursday. He was so sweet and made my favorite homemade ice cream. He ended up making two batches, raspberry and Oreo. He woke up early to make the mixture, and then he let it chill while he went to work, then he came home at lunch to churn the ice cream. I know it was a lot of work, but I sure appreciated it. It made me feel so special. Jon invited so many of our friends for ice cream; Parkers, Andersons, Jeffreys, Griggs, Harry and Cindy. Thanks everyone for making my celebration so fun! It's wonderful to have such great friends. Jon took me out to dinner last Wednesday, and surprised me with new diamond earrings (they are kind of hard to see in the picture, but they are beautiful). He also gave me the Anne of Green Gables trilogy, a new game and the soundtrack to No Reservations. I feel so spoiled! Thanks babe, for a wonderful birthday celebration!
