November Utah Trip

Sophie and I got to fly out to Utah for Nick's wedding and we had a great week.

Sophie was such a happy girl.  I was so glad that the seat next to me was open, so that Sophie could sit in her carseat.

Uncle Scotty had lots of fun playing with Sophie.  Here he's holding her up to the massage chair that he bought and fixed.  Silly baby!

Looking so cute while playing with uncle Scotty.

Uncle Scotty trying out the baby carrier.  I love that she held on to his collar like it was a handle or something.  She thought it was great fun!

Just looking so cute and snuggly.

Snuggling with Grandma Reed.

My cute chubby little baby!  She looks so cute in her coat that Grandma Reed bought for her and the hat that I made.

My happy beautiful girl!  She got this dress from Dr. Singh and Dr. Sidhu.  Their little girl had grown out of it and it was in a bag of hand me down clothes from them.  I love the dress and it looks so cute on Sophie.

Looking so cute in another outfit that Grandma Reed bought her.  Always so happy!

Such cute cousins, Sophie and Samantha.  They had fun just laying on the floor kicking, rolling and jabbering.

We took her diaper off and just let her kick.  She loved being free.  We didn't want to let her be naked for too long, we were worried that she would go pee on the carpet.

Since we didn't get to see Grandma for Halloween, I took our Halloween shirts so that we could get a picture of the three of us.  Again Grandma bought the shirt and socks for Sophie.

Sophie and I were lucky enough to fly to Utah for Nick and Ashley's wedding.  They were married on Fridy, November 11th.  It was a beautiful day!  They were married at mom and dad's church and their bishop married them.  Uncle John and aunt Wendy, Sherri and Israel, Jonathan and Jana and Andres and Kristina were the only ones from our extended family who were there.  Nick wanted to keep the wedding small.  After the wedding, they had pictures taken with Ashley's family.  We decided to take family pictures after the luncheon.  We had sandwiches, soup and yummy dessert.  The luncheon was really nice and everyone stayed to celebrate.  Once the luncheon was over, we went in to the Relief Society room to take pictures and everything was gone.  The Stake Relief Society president had something going on that evening in the Relief Society room and she wanted to get set up early, so she took the arch and all the flowers down without even asking us.  Dad was livid!  He was so upset.  I couldn't believe that she wouldn't even have the consideration to ask someone if it was okay for her to begin setting up, she just took it upon herself to take everything down.  Needless to say, we had to take our family pictures outside and Scott and I were on the sides holding up the archway.  It was terrible!  The day was a good day, but unfortunately it didn't end well.  It really rubbed Dad wrong that she would do that, especially since he was having a hard time anyway knowing that they weren't getting married in the temple.  What a way to end a good day!  It was really too bad.

Happy Halloween!

I had so much fun taking pictures of Sophie for her first Halloween. Beware, there are several pictures for your viewing. I made Sophie a pumpkin hat and grandma Reed and I both bought her Halloween shirts, and of course I had to get pictures of her in both shirts with her hat on. We also dressed up for the ward trunk-or-treat and I took several pictures of Sophie in her ladybug costume.

Happy Halloween!

Mom and Sophie in our Halloween shirts.

We didn't take Sophie to a pumpkin patch this year, she was a little young. We didn't buy any pumpkins either, but I wanted to get some pictures of her with pumpkins. Shannon let us take pictures in front of her fall display.

My happy Halloween baby

Fall pictures with mommy and daddy

The cute ladybug!

The back of her costume was so fluffy. Isn't she the cutest little bug?

I love her little tights!

My two favorite people. My ladybug and spider. I sure love them!

Sophie the ladybug and Elsie the cute sweetpea.

Our first Halloween.
The bug family, a spider, ladybug and bumble bee.

My Baby Doll

A sweet sister in our ward made Sophie a dress and matching bonnet, but it was too big. Sophie has grown and now her dress fits. She wore it for the first time on Sunday and she looked adorable. She reminded me of a baby doll, the one you got when you were a little girl. She is my real baby doll and I love her so much.

I just love the look on her face and the little finger pointing.
She's wearing her little bracelet too.

My sweet baby girl. Isn't she a doll?

Sophie

I just can't help taking pictures of my baby. Here are a few more pictures.
I made this pumpkin hat for Sophie.

I just love her smile. Her whole face lights up when she smiles.

Sophie has discovered her toes and she loves playing with them. She was trying to get her toes in her mouth, so she could suck on her toe.

Just another cute picture of my baby girl.

Sophie was supposed to be taking a nap and apparently she wasn't too sleepy. Jon went up to check on her and this is what he found. What a silly baby!

Sophie got her four month shots and she did so well. I'm so grateful that she doesn't have any bad reactions to her shots. She was a happy girl all day. I had to get a picture with her little bandaid.

Fall Family Pics

With all of the pretty fall leaves, I really wanted to get family pictures. Since Sophie and I were leaving to go to Utah, we had to get them done or the leaves would be gone by the time we got home. The day we chose to take pictures, the temperature was a record high of 90 degrees. So much for wearing long sleeves or sweaters. Rita took our pictures again this year and she did a wonderful job. It was fun to have Sophie with us for our annual fall picture. Thanks Rita for taking our pictures. Here are some of my favorites.

This is the only picture we got with Sophie smiling. I love the little smirk on her face.

Happy Birthday Jon!

We didn't get to do too much on Jon's birthday. It was a crazy day, but I did make his favorite meal for dinner, meatballs with gravy and mashed potatoes. After dinner we went to Target and bought the new Karate Kid movie. After shopping we went to Cold Stone and got a free ice cream that we shared. I know it wasn't the most exciting birthday, but things have been a little different for us this year. I think he still had a good birthday. When we got home there were three messages from family and friends wishing him a Happy Birthday. He also got a few more phone calls that evening.

We celebrated Jon's birthday again, with our friends the Andersons. Rita made yummy Greek chili for dinner with Rosemary bread and I made chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. We also had ice cream with mini peanut butter cups, which are Jon's favorite. After dinner we watched Karate Kid. We had a fun evening. Thanks Andersons for celebrating with us!

Mom's Favorite Pictures

I wanted to share some of my most favorite pictures of Sophie. It wasn't easy to decide, I love all of the pictures of my beautiful baby girl.

I've almost forgotten how small she was. She only wore this outfit twice, she grew out of it too quickly.

Another one of my favorite outfits, but she didn't wear it very much.

I love the hand behind her head. She wore this hat while camping. It reminds me of the hats that my grandpa Reed used to wear.

My sweet baby girl!

Notice the fuzzy hair. Jon's niece, Makenzie, called Sophie the fuzzy haired baby, before she could remember Sophie's name. Her hair is getting longer, but it still is a little fuzzy after being washed.

This is probably one of my very favorite pictures. Aunt Nicole was keeping Sophie warm after dipping her toes in the pool.

Cute little tongue!

We are wearing matching bracelets that we recieved as a gift. I love Sophie's hands!

Another beautiful smile! She is such a happy baby!

Such a big girl, sitting up in her Bumbo. I love the Bumbo!

Just a sweet face. I love her dress too. Thanks grandma Reed.

Silly little baby!
