We spent Christmas in Utah again. I know our friends here in Mankato wish we would stay home for Christmas, but that is the one time of year, I can't be away from family. Christmas for me is all about family. We left December 16th the day after the GOTR 5k and as I said, I shouldn't have run, because traveling was quite painful, my knee bothered me for two days after the run. We spent the first several days with Jon's parent's and then we drove up to my parent's house in a snow storm, the Tuesday before Christmas. The next day my brother planned a graham cracker house party. Nick has wanted to make graham cracker houses for so long, so he invited Nicole and Scott over and the seven of us made houses. Mom and Dad worked together, so did Nicole and Scott, then Jon and I, and Nick built his masterpiece all on his own. We had such a great time. Nicole and Scott used the most frosting to keep theirs together. I think they filled their bag four times with frosting and the rest of us used one bag of frosting. Of course we ate some of the candy while we were decorating, it's always good to sample everything before using it. Thanks Nick for the fun activity! We really had a fun time together.
